The IRS is set to replace the existing Public Key with a new one on Friday, October 13, 2023. This means that after 11:59 pm eastern time on that day, you will need to acquire the new IRS Public Key to continue filing your FATCA Reports. The new key can be downloaded from the IDES website.

When it comes to purchasing a new digital certificate or replacing an expiring one, it’s important to remember that IDES only acknowledges and accepts digital certificates issued by IRS approved Certificate Authorities (CA).
