Our Commitment

Brightside Tax Relief LLC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level A and Level AA success criteria.

Standards We Follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for all people.

Level A
Basic accessibility requirements — essential for all users with disabilities
✅ Target
Level AA
Enhanced accessibility — our primary target standard for full compliance
✅ Target

Accessibility Features We Implement

  • Semantic HTML5 with proper heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3)
  • Descriptive alt text for all meaningful images
  • Keyboard navigation support throughout the site
  • Sufficient color contrast ratios (4.5:1 minimum for text)
  • Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements
  • ARIA labels and roles on interactive components
  • Form labels associated with their input fields
  • Skip navigation links for screen reader users
  • Responsive design supporting text zoom up to 200%
  • No content that flashes more than 3 times per second
  • PDF documents provided in accessible formats where applicable
  • Captions and transcripts for video content where available

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, some content may not yet meet all criteria. Areas we are actively working to improve include:

  • Third-party embedded content (such as calendar booking widgets and video players) — accessibility is dependent on the third-party provider
  • Older PDF documents — we are working to remediate these progressively
  • Some dynamic content generated by JavaScript — we are evaluating and improving ARIA live region usage
